Sixth Grade

A Great Start to Middle School

Students are welcomed into the H.G. Hill Middle School family by teachers who know that relationships with students are important as they transition to the middle school setting. Their goal is to work for the smoothest transition possible for our students. 

Our feeder elementary schools typically visit H.G. Hill with their Fifth Graders to get a feel for the environment. A special "sneak peek" is held prior to the start of school to learn more about what daily life as a Sixth Grader is all about.

Honors classes begin in Sixth Grade for qualifying students to enhance their education at Hill. Students are also eligible for our sports teams beginning in Sixth Grade, including cheerleading, football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, wrestling and track.
